OH I have a bone to pick. Go elsewhere. Absolutely adored the old owners and the selection they held in the store. I would often go in there without having to buy anything. The new owners are decently nice, but the prices are not at all worth the selection of 90 stale options of processed cupcakes and candy. They claim the HIGH jump in prices are due to more variety (of useless items), the surrounding community of only students and welfare housing CANNOT afford it. It’s rare prices are marked in the store, and most of not all the times they seem to calculate the prices in their heads using a calculator. They no longer have the basics, but 16 flavours of faygo. I now have to go to metro, METRO, where prices are cheaper for necessities like bagels, milk, and tea. I hope they learn quickly or they’ll be out of business even quicker.

The store has higher prices on their products now, since they sold the store to these new owners! But the new owners have a lot more of a selection of items in the store now! A lot of the stuff I would have bought from there before like cereal and milk and yogurt I won't be there anymore, it costs to much now!! I will go to the grocery store now for these items. But I will still go there for anything after hours because now they have a bigger time that they are open for now! 8am to 2am is a large open time frame to b open for. Which is good for them so now we don't have to walk all the way to 7 11 at like 12 midnight. Over time there may b more positive feelings toward these new owners and their new high prices!! But they are nice and it seems brighter in there!!

*update* the owners retired and new people own it now. They have hardly any inventory, play extremely loud music and burn incense. It's no longer what it use to be. I'll be finding a new place. It's sad when a place can go from the best to the worse.---------------------------------------------------------The best place in the city honestly. Prices are decent and the owners are amazing and super helpful. Been going here for almost 6 years now. I don't go to any other variety store

You don't Have to wear your karate outfit when you shop here, but you really should, or risk being most dishonorable...

1 star is extremely generous.I legitimately almost cried a bit when I entered this store about 30 minutes ago. Where did all those super friendly, super helpful Korean store owners go?? ...why on earth was it left almost the same way in which the USA left Afghanistan? its almost as if the new store owners went around and increased every single price for no apparent reason (for fun maybe?)... Oblivious to the fact the owners had mysteriously changed overnight, I thought, well I'm sure it can't be that bad.OH, but it is.I normally go to purchase the same two items and it totals a reasonable $4.25. I purchased these two exact same items today, and the total cost was $6.75!?? What is happening to our once convenient variety stores..? I even asked the clerk why and how did their prices increase so much all of a sudden? He replied by laughing at me. I would hate to buy anything else here for fear of what the total cost would be - ridiculously, obviously - I used to LOVE this store. I can honestly say with certainty that I will no longer be buying any of my items from this rip-off shack. I'd rather walk to Metro, 7 Eleven or even take a damn bus to the Dollarama.Extremely upset.
